This week the Official Gazette noticed seven inter partes reexamination requests. Club Car filed a request against Textron’s patent on an AC drive system for an electrically operated vehicle. CM Glo filed a request against iLIGHT Technologies’ patent on an illumination device for simulation of neon lighting. Microsoft filed two requests against VirnetX’s patents on a method for establishing secure communication link between computers of virtual private network and an agile network protocol for secure communications with assured system availability. Ours Technology (China) filed a request against Data Drive Thru’s patent on intelligent computer cabling. Samsung filed a request against Murata Manufacturing’s patent on a multilayer capacitor. Sony filed a request against Wall Wireless’ patent on a method and apparatus for creating and distributing real-time interactive media content through wireless communication networks and the internet.
