The IP Law Summit is an opportunity for select IP Counsel to gain insight into the tools and strategies required to enhance their IP presence and influence within the organization. This event allows representatives from leading law firms and legal solution providers to interact with this elite group of Senior IP Counsel in a series of proactive one-on-one meetings, summit presentations, and informal networking opportunities. Organizers will seek CLE accreditation in those states requested by registrants which have continuing education requirements. CLE credit hour information will be displayed on the certificate of attendance, which is provided to the attendees after the event has run and once each State has confirmed approval.
“During this past year there have been critical developments in American Intellectual Property Law. In addition, IP Counsels are faced with an array of new issues and emerging areas of practice with multi-faceted dimensions brought on by the impact of globalization. Now more than ever before, it is essential for IP Executives to have the right knowledge and skills needed so as to successfully manage their company’s Intellectual Property assets whilst still maintaining the legal department budget and existing resources. IP Counsels must be aware of the opportune strategies they need to put into practice to guarantee the safety of their company’s cutting edge ideas and innovations. With US companies conducting more business in global emerging markets, IP Counsels need to identify the best methods for protecting their intellectual assets; they need to be more vigilant in the prevention and capture of goods and organizers of counterfeits, as loss of revenue and possible damage to reputation caused by inferior counterfeit products appearing in the marketplace can cause serious harm to corporations.”
