Gene Quinn with IPWatchdog.com notes that courts are reluctant to stay patent litigation pending reexam in a post dated January 11th. The Reexamination Center’s Editor Michael D. Patent Docs reported on the upcoming American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) 2010 Mid-Winter Institute on January 27-30, 2010 in La Quinta, CA. The preliminary program for the Mid-Winter Institute includes a presentation on patent reexamination. On January 5th, the Phoenix Business Journal reported that Lumension Security Inc. and Shavlik Technologies LLC have settled a patent dispute regarding patching security holes in networked computer systems — a dispute also involving a patent reexamination.
