This week the Official Gazette noticed six inter partes reexamination requests. Analog Devices filed a request against a Knowles Electronics’ patent for a micro-electromechanical system package with environmental and interference shield. NeXplore filed a request against an inventor- owned patent for an Internet searching enhancement method for determining topical relevance scores. Sybase filed inter partes requests against two of Telecommunication Systems’ SMS patents. Verizon Wireless filed a request against EMSAT’s patent for a  cellular telephone system that uses the  position of a mobile unit to make call management decisions. Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo jointly filed an  inter partes request against ADC Technology’s patent on an interactive communication system for communicating video game and karaoke software.
