This week the Official Gazette noticed five inter partes reexamination requests. Chi Mei Optoelectronics filed two requests against LG Display’s liquid crystal cell patents on devices and methods of manufacturing using serial production processes. SynQor filed a request against a Lineage Overseas’ patent relating to a electric power conversion system. Nintendo SCEA and Microsoft jointly filed an inter partes request against ADC Technology’s patent on an interactive communication system for communicating video game and karaoke software. Vonage Holdings filed a request against a Centre One patent on a method and apparatus for interfacing a public switched telephone network and an internet protocol network for multi-media communication.
