This week the Official Gazette noticed ex parte requests filed by HemCon Medical Technologies against Marine Polymer Technologies’ patent on an easily produced (p-GlcNAc) polysaccharide species, Google against Xerox’s patent on a selective visual display system, Laser Spine Institute against AOB Properties Limited’s method for debulking tissue to remove pressure on a nerve, Alma Lasers against Solta Medical’s (formerly known as Thermage) patent for an apparatus for controlled contraction of collagen tissue, and Avago Technologies against Triquint Semiconductor’s patent on a chip-scale sized package for acoustic wave devices.  In addition, patents assigned to Graff/Ross Holdings, DUSA Pharmaceuticals, Dendreon, Lincoln National Life Insurance, IMRA America, and IPCOM were the targets of ex parte requests from anonymous third parties.
